New option for COPD in clinical testing
Neu-Isenburg (eb). Recently, the first COPD patient in a Phase IIb trial with inhaled bifunctional study drug GSK961081 (081) was recorded.
aim of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of the substance in patients with moderate to severe COPD . The substance 081 is a single molecule that simultaneously antagonistic to the muscarinic receptors and the beta-2 receptor agonist activity (MABA).
GlaxoSmithKline and Theravance concluded in 2005 a strategic alliance in the MABA program, the preparation gemeinsam entwickelt wird.
