EMA: recommendation for approval of human immunoglobulin
The Committee for Human Use (CHMP) of the EMEA has recommended in its meeting of February 2011, to allow human normal immunoglobulin.
Human normal immunoglobulin (Hizentra, CSL Behring GmbH) is for replacement therapy in adults and children with primary immunodeficiency syndromes and in patients with myeloma or chronic lymphocytic leukemia with severe secondary hypogammaglobulinaemia and recurrent infections are used.
